We love God and His house!
We have been called to find people who don't and introduce them to both. We believe that the greatest form of evangelism and discipleship is strong local churches. The call to begin such a place in Bozeman, MT was birthed out of our love for God and a couple of incredible relationships.

We love to worship!
This is because we have been transformed by God's gift-Jesus Christ. Our desire is to lift Jesus higher in the Rockies and in the world through our worship and music at RLCC. We want to build a worship team that is excellent and dynamic, but above all, worships Jesus in spirit and in truth.

We love people!
Our heart is for people of all ages to know the love, peace, and joy that God has given us. Life isn't all about church! Our lives are (and should be!) REAL! We want people to know the empowerment of the Holy Spirit that enables us to succeed in our real lives and to achieve the dreams that He has planted in us.

We love our family!
Consequently, we love to see families changed by the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We love to see REAL marriages, parenting, and family relationships that work and are life-giving. We love to see families that worship together, work together, live together, serve together, and yet still have fun together. This is the healthy balance that we insist upon in our own lives.

We are so excited about what God is doing in the Gallatin Valley and are humbled at the privilege to take up our cross and follow Him!

Dream Big!!

About The Pastors >>

Who We Are

Pastor Steve and Kristi Nickisch
Steve and Kristi are both natives of the great State of Montana. They have been married for over 20 years and have three terrific kids (Sarah, Samantha and Dylan).

After nearly 18 years outside Montana, they returned to start REAL LIFE CHRISTIAN CENTER.

RLCC opened its doors in January of 2004 and moved to the current Jackrabbit Lane location in December of 2006.

The Nickischs have a vision to reach the people of Montana through the ministry of strong, life-giving local churches like RLCC.

Their personal motto is ‘Dream Big,’ and after being around them for a little while you will see why!

Pastor Sam and Dana Shuman
Having transplanted from North Carolina in 2003, Sam and Dana have fallen in love with beautiful Montana, its people, and God’s plan to build strong local churches in the Gallatin Valley. They love marriage and parenting and have a passion to see these relationships grow and flourish at RLCC.

They have two young children and are excited about cultivating an environment in which they can grow up with biblical teaching and godly influences.

Sam also leads the worship ministry. The people of RLCC love to worship God with passion and excellence. The music is fun and exciting and the atmosphere conducive to inspiring worship. Come worship with us!

Together we can touch the Gallatin Valley for Jesus Christ!

How We Govern

All organizations require structure of some sort to provide efficiency and accountability.  At Real Life we are currently trying to implement a structure that gives freedom for spiritual growth and enables people to grow in ministry.  If we can accomplish this, all of our experiences with the local church will be more positive.

RLLC Church government is comprised of the Senior and Associate Pastors as well as a Board of Advisors, Board of Trustees and a group of Overseers.

Although this form of government may be new to you, it is currently being successfully used by thousands of strong local churches around the country.  For more in depth treatise of this material we recommend Pastor Ted Haggard's book "The Life Giving Church." (Regal)
